Great post on the Newberg Report with news on the Rangers plans for Hank Blalock. It doesn’t necessarily look like the Rangers are primarily interested in showcasing Blalock. I think Blalock really is a bigger benefit to the Rangers lineup at third. The biggest reason is that it keeps Chris Davis’ bat in the lineup, but a healthy Blalock will also provide more pop from the third base position than they get with Vasquez in the lineup.
