Not that there was really any doubt, but Evan Longoria has looked right at home in the MLB spotlight since joining the Rays. Last night Longoria hit homerun number 19 and drove in two runs. His moonshot last night brought him to within 4 of Grady Sizemore and Carlos Quentin for the AL lead.
Scott Kazmir also looked great in his first game back from an unexpected appearance in the All-Star game. With the pieces that the Rays have going right now it is hard to see them dropping out of the playoff race very quickly.
